PURCHASING OFFICER

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Purchasing Officer to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, and purchase documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, good market knowledge, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize suppliers and vendors
- Prepare purchase orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery
- Compare quotations and negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- Ensure materials are procured as per specifications and requirements
- Coordinate with stores, accounts, and operations departments
- Maintain purchase records, invoices, and vendor documents
- Monitor stock levels and plan purchases accordingly
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
- Handle vendor payments coordination with accounts team
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement
- Knowledge of local suppliers and market trends
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, ERP, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
