Job Description
Position Title: Purchasing Specialist

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and vendors to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing activities, including placing purchase orders and scheduling ocean shipments from the company’s China facility.
• Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels for production needs.
• Create and schedule work orders in NetSuite, including purchasing necessary components to fulfill those orders.
• Collaborate with production teams to align and build schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Verify and confirm tariff costs on components.
• Arrange truck pickups from vendors for large shipments.
• Create new products and assemblies in NetSuite.
• Partner with engineering to confirm new bills of materials (BOMs), identify potential issues, and recommend alternative components when necessary.
• Update, adjust, and enter new BOMs as required.
• Conduct cost analysis on BOMs and assist in determining appropriate product pricing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with NetSuite software is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and vendors.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate costs and support pricing decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., supply chain management, business administration, or finance).
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
