About Us
Good Old Days Foods food manufacturer specializing in fruit cobbler and southern comfort foods. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist (also known as Procurement Specialist, Buyer, or Purchasing Coordinator) to manage purchasing activities and ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast purchasing needs.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve any order or delivery issues.
• Review contracts, invoices, and purchase agreements for accuracy.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
• Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance and operations to support budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency with purchasing or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred but not required).

Schedule

• Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• NOT REMOTE
