Are you great at finding the right parts, supplies, and deals to keep things running smoothly? As our Purchasing Specialist, you’ll make sure our production team always has what they need — on time and at the best cost. You’ll work with vendors, negotiate prices, track orders, and help us keep our manufacturing moving forward.
This job is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and being part of a team that makes a real impact.
Order materials, tools, and supplies to support our production and operations.
Make sure we always have the right items at the right time — and at the best price.
Check purchase requests every day and plan what to order next.
Track and speed up orders when needed to keep production on schedule.
Build strong relationships with vendors and help improve how we work with them.
Keep pricing and vendor information up to date in our computer system (ERP).
Look for ways to save money and improve how we buy materials.
Stay aware of market trends, prices, and new suppliers.
Help with purchasing for new engineering or design projects.
Learn about our products and how they’re made.
Visit suppliers when needed.
3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain — preferably in manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (or similar work experience).
Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and BOM (Bills of Materials).
Strong computer skills — Excel experience is required, ERP and Microsoft office as well.
Great problem-solving and organization skills.
Comfortable working with data and numbers.
Able to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Creative and persistent when sourcing hard-to-find parts.
You’re detail-oriented and love making things more efficient. You enjoy working with people, solving challenges, and helping a team succeed. You’re the kind of person who can spot a better deal, find a faster supplier, or fix a purchasing problem before it slows anyone down.
You’ll spend most of your time at a computer but may walk around the plant or visit suppliers.
You should be able to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
