About the Job

As part of our continued growth, KAG Egypt is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our Food & Beverage manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials and services needed for production, ensuring the right quality, cost, and timely delivery. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support smooth manufacturing operations and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of raw materials and packaging (jars, labels, cartons).

• Issue purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery aligned with production plans.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost optimization.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstocking.

• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

• Ensure all purchased materials comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.

• Identify alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.

• Handle supplier claims related to quality issues, shortages, or delivery delays.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or a related field.

• +3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.

• Experience in purchasing food ingredients and packaging materials.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
