Purchasing Specialist - Fencing, Tack, Toys & Gifts

Description:

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for basic replenishment, re-buying, and managing store merchandise. This position utilizes previous experience and judgment as a basis for planning and accomplishing goals in a variety of tasks. The Purchasing Specialist works under the general supervision of a Buyer.

Work Location: This position will be based out of the Home Office in Bozeman, Montana where we offer a flexible hybrid/ remote work environment.

As a Murdoch's Team Member, you will...

• Assist the Buyers in all areas of merchandise procurement.
• Enter and transmit Purchase Orders into the system.
• Monitor Purchase Orders to ensure timely and satisfactory delivery.
• Contact suppliers to expedite delivery when necessary.
• Resolve any receiving or invoice discrepancies that may arise.
• Build relationships and maintain contact with stores and vendors.
• Other related responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• Familiar with standard concepts and practices within the retail environment.
• Strong Windows-based computer skills – especially with Excel and other Microsoft products.
• Minimum of one-year previous related experience and/or training.
• 4-year degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent is preferred.
