Purchasing & Supply Chain Intern

What you’ll do:
- Support Purchasing staff in supplier development efforts, ensuring alignment with ODL’s expectations for safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, logistics, etc.) to execute cross-functional projects.
- Participate in internal and external supplier negotiations.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and documentation of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Lead a strategic summer project that will provide meaningful impact to the business and be presented to ODL’s executive leadership team.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to support sourcing strategies.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and driving corrective actions when necessary.
- Potential for local and domestic travel to support supplier engagement activities.
What you’ll need:
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in supplier relationship management and procurement strategy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn and take initiative on projects.
