Purchasing/buyer Jr. Level Position

General Summary:

We are seeking for a Jr buyer to support our purchasing department, ideally someone from the food manufacturing industry.

Essential Job Duties:

• Conduct inventories

• Place re-order quantities

• Understand product rotation of perishable products

• Determine inventory levels based on usage run rates

• Maintain inventory spread sheets to avoid running out of materials

• Schedule deliveries

• Issue purchase orders to vendors and keep track on deliveries

• Work with R&D and sales on new products launch timelines

Required Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment ideally food production

• Computer literate, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other business programs

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Use of pallet jacks or dollies, some forklift experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
