Designation : PYP French Facilitator
Job Purpose
To facilitate engaging and inquiry-based French language learning for primary learners, aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) philosophy and mapped to Cambridge curriculum standards, fostering multilingualism, intercultural understanding, and lifelong learning.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Plan, deliver, and facilitate French language instruction for PYP students (Early Years to Grade 5).
- Design inquiry-based lessons aligned with IB PYP units of inquiry and Cambridge language learning objectives.
- Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French through interactive and age-appropriate strategies.
- Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills, learner profile attributes, and international-mindedness.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and language proficiency levels.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Align French curriculum with IB PYP framework and Cambridge curriculum benchmarks.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in curriculum mapping, vertical alignment, and interdisciplinary planning.
Learning Environment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages risk-taking in language learning.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance language acquisition.
- Promote French culture through celebrations, activities, and real-world connections.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with PYP teachers, coordinators, and specialists for transdisciplinary learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning goals.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, PYP exhibitions, school events, and professional learning communities.
Professional Responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing IB and Cambridge professional development.
- Reflect on teaching practice and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
- Uphold school policies, IB standards and practices, and professional ethics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching qualification with experience in IB PYP and/or Cambridge curriculum.
- Proficiency in French (native or near-native level preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience teaching French at the primary level.
- IB PYP training/workshop certification is an advantage.

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
