Job Description – Python Developer (2–5 Years Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Python Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building large-scale data pipelines, developing RESTful APIs, and working with SQL and cloud-based processing platforms. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, product teams, and architects to design scalable, efficient, and high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python-based applications and backend services.
• Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Develop and maintain secure and scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Write complex SQL queries, implement indexing strategies, and optimize performance.
• Work with cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) to deploy and manage scalable data workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, reviews, and best development practices.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous system improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Python Developer or Backend Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks (Flask / FastAPI / Django).
• Practical experience with large-scale data pipelines and processing frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Spark, Kafka – good to have).
• Strong understanding of REST API development and microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL), and query optimization.
• Experience in cloud processing (AWS / Azure / GCP) – e.g., Lambda, S3, Cloud Functions, DataFlow, Glue, etc.
• Solid understanding of version control (Git), CI/CD processes, and containerization (Docker).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis.
• Exposure to message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps tools or infrastructure as code.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
