Role Overview

Seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong foundation in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design and development to code reviews, release engineering, and production launches for Android applications

The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams on development and release engineering to ensure delivery of high-quality, stable, and maintainable software systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, Develop, and Maintain software components and systems using Python and SQL.
Own and drive the end-to-end SDLC: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Conduct code and CL (Change list) reviews ensuring best practices, code quality, and maintainability.
Partner with Release Engineering and Operations teams to plan, coordinate, and execute product releases and launches.
Develop automation tools and scripts for build, test, and deployment pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and data issues in production and staging environments.
Ensure compliance with secure coding and release governance practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze feature requirements, provide technical input, and estimate delivery timelines.
Maintain clear technical documentation and participate in post-launch reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

Strong programming skills in Python, including data structures, OOP, and frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django preferred).
Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) strong query writing, optimization, and database design skills.
Solid understanding of software development best practices: modularity, testing, and CI/CD principles.
Experience with version control (Git), code reviews, and branching strategies.
Familiarity with build and release engineering tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bazel, or similar).
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
Understanding of testing frameworks and ability to automate Unit/integration tests.
Strong analytical and debugging skills across the stack (frontend/backend/database).
