QA Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-focused QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring comprehensive test coverage, identifying and documenting bugs, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating targeted test plans within an agile development framework.
  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on product specifications and design intentions.
  • Use tools to execute manual tests, send requests, and analyze responses.
  • Manually verify that user actions match expected behavior.
  • Identify and document bugs, including issues related to broken or missing functionality, design/art, animation, play experience (economy, pacing), localization, spelling, and audio.
  • Prioritize, scope, and escalate bugs appropriately, and determine the best method for resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate risks, defects, and test coverage status.
  • Work with the leadership to continuously refine and improve QA processes through lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automation tools for QA testing.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of QA experience, including 1+ year in software or web product testing.
  • Expertise in regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Experience working on QA for a software product during both initial development and live operations, with ongoing development and release cycles.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills; a background in sciences, engineering, or software engineering is a plus.
  • Highly detail-oriented and methodical, with the ability to efficiently prioritize tasks.
  • Fast and independent worker; agile and flexible in adapting to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong understanding of mobile software engineering and creative pipelines.
  • Proficiency in working with web-based tooling and configurations.
  • Ability to perform API testing using Postman and inspect/update APIs using tools like Charles Proxy.
  • Familiarity with at least one bug-reporting system such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem solver; anticipates constraints and takes early steps to mitigate risks.
Preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in automation testing (Katalon, Selenium, etc.).
