QA Engineer

Role Overview
We’re seeking a proactive QA Engineer with solid experience in test automation and API security. In this role, you’ll drive the entire testing lifecycle for a cutting-edge SaaS platform—designing robust test strategies, automating critical workflows, and ensuring every API is reliable, performant, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Automation

Develop comprehensive test plans and execute manual and automated tests across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js APIs).

Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing in development and staging environments.

Build and maintain automated test suites with Cypress or Playwright.

Validate and automate REST API testing using Postman (collections, scripting, and integrations).

Verify database operations and data integrity in MongoDB.

Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence in ClickUp/Jira.

API Security & Compliance

Perform API security testing, including authentication, authorization, rate-limiting, and vulnerability assessments.

Ensure secure data transmission and adherence to encryption standards.

Partner with engineering teams to close security gaps and retest fixes.

Incorporate OWASP API Security Top 10 practices into test plans and continuously stay updated on emerging threats.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of QA or QA Automation experience in web-based SaaS applications.

Strong hands-on expertise with REST API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or equivalent).

Proven background in API security testing and vulnerability analysis.

Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Solid troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.

Comfortable operating in rapid release cycles.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to Node.js or React development environments.

Experience with security tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar.

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).

Understanding of Azure or AWS for QA environment setups.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
