Duties

- Monitor clinical workflows to verify proper use of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles in patient assessments
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure proper documentation of patient progress, medication administration, and symptom management
- Educate staff on documentation standards, privacy regulations, and best practices for maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA
- Assist in the development and review of policies related to medical records management and clinical procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in nursing with a strong background in hospice or palliative care settings
- Comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to end-of-life care
- Prior experience with medical documentation, record keeping, and compliance auditing within healthcare environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for safeguarding patient information
- Strong understanding of patient care principles combined with meticulous attention to detail in record review processes
