QA Inspector – Levee Enlargement Project

We are currently seeking an experienced QA Inspector to join our team for a levee enlargement project in the Houma, Louisiana area.

Position Overview

The QA Inspector will perform quality assurance inspections and documentation for levee enlargement construction activities. This includes oversight of levee embankment and earthwork operations to ensure compliance with all project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of levee embankment and earthwork activities for compliance with approved plans and specifications.

• Verify construction materials, methods, and workmanship meet quality standards.

• Review and document materials testing results; report deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.

• Maintain accurate and organized daily inspection reports, logs, and photo documentation.

• Work closely with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address field issues.

• Ensure all work meets applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in QA/QC and progress meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting levee enlargement, levee embankment, and earthwork projects.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials testing, and QA/QC standards for levee and civil earthwork projects.

• Experience with USACE specifications and inspection procedures preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams.

• Must reside in Houma, LA or within a 75-mile radius.
