QA Laboratory Technician

IodiTech is a leading specialty chemical manufacturer located in Kansas City.

We are actively searching for an Quality Assurance Lab Tech to join our team.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

· Perform in-process, finished, and stability testing of products.

· Inspect and test in-coming raw materials.

· Communicate with Production regarding batch making and required adjustments.

· Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.

· Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed.

· Ensure laboratory cleanliness

· Assist Director of Quality Assurance by filing documents, issuing batch records, and other document control activities.

· Other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Ability to perform basic chemistry calculation

· Ability to communicate well with others.

· Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, methods, standard operating procedures, and methods.

· Good organizational and time management skills.

· High regard for quality-oriented work.

· Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

EXAMPLES OF WORK REQUIRED:

· Perform material testing to ACS, USP, and FCC specifications.

· Utilize and maintain all laboratory instruments

· Test in-process samples for predetermined specification.

· Communicate batch adjustments to production workers.

· Complete the retain sample log and deposit samples accordingly.

· Weigh small quantities of raw materials for production use.

· Keep Laboratory clean and organized.

· Inspect, label, test, and release in-coming raw materials.

· Update controlled documents.

MINIMUM COMPETENCY SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Associate’s degree in science field

· Cannot be allergic/sensitive to chemicals, specifically iodine.

· Ability to work in a small group setting.

· Math skills appropriate to general laboratory calculations

· Strong reasoning skills.
