About the Internship

Elchai Group is looking for a QA Tester Intern to support the testing of our digital platforms before they are released to users, investors, internal teams, and external partners.

This role is suitable for someone who wants practical experience in software testing, QA automation, AI-assisted testing, Playwright, API testing, bug reporting, and product quality.

This is not a basic manual testing internship. The selected candidate should be willing to learn how to test complex products using structured QA thinking, AI tools, browser testing, automation tools, and clear documentation.

Key Responsibilities

AI-Assisted Test Planning

• Use AI tools to help generate and organize test cases
• Create test scenarios from product requirements
• Identify edge cases, negative cases, and failure paths
• Build regression checklists
• Create acceptance test checklists
• Prepare role-based testing matrices
• Review and improve AI-generated test cases using actual product requirements

Manual QA and Exploratory Testing

• Test web dashboards, portals, admin panels, and user workflows
• Test sign-up, login, onboarding, forms, approvals, uploads, downloads, and dashboard states
• Check error states, loading states, empty states, and mobile responsiveness
• Test cross-browser behavior
• Identify broken flows, confusing UX, incorrect permissions, and missing validations

Playwright Automation

• Support the creation of automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript or TypeScript
• Help build end-to-end browser tests
• Test login flows, form validation, role-based access, and multi-step workflows
• Review Playwright traces for failed tests
• Support regression test creation and maintenance

API and Backend Workflow Testing

• Help test API response status and structure
• Check authentication and authorization behavior
• Test role and permission restrictions
• Verify data consistency between frontend and backend
• Test error handling, duplicate submissions, state transitions, audit logs, and backend-driven workflows

Compliance and Boundary Testing

The intern will help test what the system should not allow, not only what it should allow.

Examples include:

• A user without approval should not access restricted pages
• A normal user should not access admin pages
• One user should not see another user’s documents or private records
• Hidden modules should remain hidden until enabled
• A restricted workflow should not behave like an open marketplace
• A legal AI user should not receive inappropriate final legal advice
• Admin-only actions should not be available to regular users

Bug Reporting and QA Documentation

The intern will help write clear bug reports that developers can act on quickly.

Bug reports should include:

• Clear title
• Environment
• User role tested
• Steps to reproduce
• Expected result
• Actual result
• Screenshot or video when useful
• Browser and device
• Severity
• Suggested area of issue

Required Skills

• Strong interest in QA, software testing, AI tools, and automation
• Basic understanding of web applications
• Good attention to detail
• Clear written English communication
• Ability to read product requirements and convert them into test cases
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
• Basic understanding of Playwright or willingness to learn quickly
• Familiarity with browser DevTools
• Ability to test both successful flows and failure flows
• Willingness to learn technical tools hands-on

AI Tools in the Role

The intern should be comfortable using AI tools to support QA work, including:

• Generating first-draft test cases
• Creating edge-case lists
• Comparing requirements against implemented UI
• Summarizing bug patterns
• Drafting Playwright test structures
• Reviewing test coverage gaps
• Creating regression checklists
• Producing QA reports

AI tools should support the tester, not replace judgment. Final QA decisions must come from careful review, product understanding, and actual testing.

Compensation
