Role Purpose

The QA/QC Civil Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards. The role focuses on maintaining high workmanship quality, systematic inspections, and proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system at project sites
  

• Prepare, review, and enforce Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) and inspection procedures
  

• Conduct routine site inspections for RCC works, masonry, finishing, waterproofing, and other civil activities
  

• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, BOQs, specifications, IS Codes, and NBC standards
  

• Identify non-conformities , issue NCRs, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions
  

• Monitor quality of work executed by contractors and subcontractors
  

• Verify and approve materials used at site as per specifications and test results
  

• Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories for material and concrete testing
  

• Review and maintain material approvals, test reports, IRRs, checklists, and quality records
  

• Prepare and update snag lists , monitor rectifications, and provide quality clearance
  

• Support project handover, final inspections, and occupancy readiness checks
  

• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, project managers, and safety teams to resolve quality-related issues
  

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management review

Required Skills & Competencies


* 5+ years of work experience as QA/QC Engineer at high-rise construction sites.
* Proficiency in Malayalam & communicative English.

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and quality standards
  

• Good understanding of IS Codes, CPWD specifications, and statutory norms
  

• Proficiency in inspection, testing, and quality documentation
  

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
  

• Working knowledge of material testing procedures
  

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word ; AutoCAD knowledge preferred
  

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  

• Effective communication and coordination skills
