Job responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Material Approval Requests (MARs) for MEP works.
- Coordinate and conduct Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) in collaboration with consultants and site teams.
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and ensure compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, IEC, NFPA) and local authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, DM, etc.).
- Maintain and update QA/QC documentation, including inspection logs, test reports, and checklists.
- Manage and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review handover documentation, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test certificates, and compliance reports.
- Liaise with consultants, main contractors, and internal project teams on all quality-related issues.
- Conduct internal site audits and ensure adherence to company QA/QC procedures and project-specific quality plans.
- Ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per approved shop drawings, technical submittals, and quality standards.
- Support in pre-commissioning and final commissioning activities by validating installation and test procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to site supervisors and engineers in line with project quality expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (attested in UAE).
- Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within MEP projects, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and ELV systems.
- Strong knowledge of authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, DM, SEWA) and international codes such as ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.
- Experienced in preparing and handling ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, MARs, NCRs, and handover documentation.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project handover requirements, particularly in government, high-end residential, and commercial developments.
