QA/QC Engineer

Job Description: QA/QC Engineer – High-Rise Building

Job Purpose

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing, updates, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for the high-rise project. This role focuses on engineering review, method statements, material submittals, compliance verification, and coordinating with the Consultant and Client representatives to ensure the project meets international and Dubai-specific standards (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense).

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Planning: Develop, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Procedures tailored for high-rise construction (concrete grades, post-tensioning, wind-loading compliance, etc.).
• Documentation & Submittals: Review and manage Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Pre-Qualification Documents before submitting them to the Consultant for approval.
• Non-Conformance Management: Raise, track, and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Conduct root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal quality audits on subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure all work aligns with Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations and Dubai Green Building Regulations (Al Sa'fat).
• Testing Coordination: Coordinate third-party testing laboratories for specialized high-rise requirements (e.g., concrete core testing, wind tunnel testing data verification, facade water-penetration tests).
• Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC compliance reports for the Project Manager and corporate quality head.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years specifically on high-rise building projects (G+30 minimum) in the UAE.
• Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor certification is highly preferred. Dubai Municipality approved engineer status is a major plus.
• Skills: Deep knowledge of international codes (ACI, BS, ASTM) and local Dubai authorities (DM, DEWA, DCD). Strong command of QA/QC documentation software.
