The QA/QC Specialist will play a crucial role in upholding the quality standards and compliance requirements across all stages of interior design fit out projects. Working closely with project managers, designers, and subcontractors, the QA/QC Specialist will implement comprehensive quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement QA/QC Processes: Design, implement, and maintain effective quality assurance and quality control processes and procedures tailored to the specific requirements of interior design fit out projects.
- Quality Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and audits of ongoing projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports detailing quality inspection findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken. Maintain accurate records of QA/QC documentation for each project.
- Supplier and Material Evaluation: Evaluate the quality of materials and components sourced from suppliers to ensure they meet specified standards and project requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address quality-related issues, provide guidance on quality standards, and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to project teams on QA/QC procedures, best practices, and quality standards to enhance awareness and adherence.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks to project quality and develop proactive strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and quality enhancement throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the interior design fit out industry.
- In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, construction techniques, and materials.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Experience in Matterport will be added advantage.
