Ensure quality assurance and quality control across oil & gas projects (design, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning) by implementing QA/QC systems, inspection regimes and compliance with codes, specifications and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, checklists and quality records.
- Review contractor/subcontractor quality documentation: QCPs, method statements, weld procedures (WPS/PQR), material certificates, NDT reports and calibration records.
- Perform and witness inspections and hold points during fabrication, painting/coating, welding, NDT, hydrostatic testing, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning.
- Plan and supervise NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT), coordinate third‑party inspectors and ensure certification and competency of inspection personnel.
- Verify material traceability, incoming materials inspection, dimensional checks and conformity to datasheets, drawings and specifications.
- Conduct supplier/vendor audits, shop inspections and site inspections; raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), track corrective/preventive actions and close out punch lists.
- Support FAT/SAT activities, prepare quality dossiers, punch‑list verification and final QC handover documentation for client acceptance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO) and client project quality requirements; support third‑party and client audits.
- Maintain calibration and testing schedules for QA equipment; manage documentation control and QA databases.
- Provide QA input to HSE, commissioning and operations teams; mentor junior QA/QC staff and coordinate with project disciplines.
