QA/QC Inspector (Civil)

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all interior fit-out works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project quality plans, and applicable standards. The role involves inspection, documentation, coordination with site teams, and implementation of quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Inspection

• Inspect interior fit-out works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, carpentry, finishes, painting, tiling, stone works, and decorative elements.
• Ensure works comply with approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and project specifications.
• Conduct daily site inspections and report non-conformities.
• Verify workmanship quality at all stages of construction.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and quality checklists.
• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records such as inspection reports, material approvals, and test results.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.

Material Control

• Inspect and approve delivered materials to ensure compliance with approved submittals.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of materials on site.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Assist in resolving quality-related issues on site.
• Support mock-ups, sample approvals, and first-fix/second-fix inspections.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (if applicable).
• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations, project specifications, and international standards.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.

Handover & Closeout

• Support snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections.
• Assist in preparation of as-built documents, O&M manuals, and handover dossiers.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years experience as QA/QC Inspector in interior fit-out projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, retail)
