We are looking for a QA/QC Inspector with a strong civil construction background to support our ongoing projects and ensure all works meet contractual and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of civil works (excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete, finishing) to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant codes.
- Review and interpret approved IFC drawings, method statements, ITPs, and material submittals before execution.
- Perform quality checks on materials (concrete, steel, aggregates, blocks, backfill, etc.) and coordinate required tests with laboratory/third‑party agencies.
- Raise and follow up Requests for Inspection (RFI) and maintain all inspection and test records in accordance with the Quality Plan.
- Identify non‑conformities, issue NCRs, and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions with the site team.
- Monitor workmanship and construction activities to minimize rework and ensure adherence to approved ITPs and procedures.
- Coordinate with Site/Project Engineers, QA/QC Engineer, and Client/Consultant representatives on all quality‑related matters.
- Prepare daily/weekly quality reports, inspection logs, and support documentation for handing‑over.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience as QA/QC Inspector in civil construction (buildings/infrastructure); GCC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and relevant international and local standards.
- Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, material approvals, and quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
- Ability to use basic testing equipment and to read/interpret drawings and technical documents.
- Good communication and report‑writing skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to site quality issues.
