Key Responsibilities
- Production & Assembly Oversight
- Plan and monitor daily production flow for assembly of machines.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities among floor staff.
- Ensure all assembly work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Identify delays or bottlenecks on the floor, take corrective action.
- Quality Control & Inspection
- Read, interpret and enforce engineering drawings / blueprints with dimensional tolerances.
- Use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to understand how parts should fit & function.
- Carry out inspections using precision instruments: vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges etc.
- Inspect incoming materials and parts; inspect in‑process assembly; final inspection of finished product before dispatch.
- Leadership & Staff Management
- Lead, supervise and motivate floor team.
- Assign work, set expectations, monitor performance.
- Train the team in reading drawings, understanding tolerance, proper use of measuring tools, quality norms.
- Enforce discipline, safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the shop floor.
- Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
- Identify defects, causes of rejection and rework. Perform root cause analysis.
- Suggest improvements in assembly / production methods to reduce waste, improve efficiency, quality.
- Maintain and update SOPs, inspection checklists as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inspection records: incoming, in‑process, and final.
- Generate non‑conformance reports (NCRs) / deviation reports.
- Report to management: daily/weekly production output vs target, quality metrics (defect rate, rejection rate, reworks etc.).
- Standards & Compliance
- Maintain calibration status of measuring instruments. Ensure instruments like verniers, micrometers, bore gauges are accurate and properly used.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, workplace discipline.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering (or related).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing / assembly & QC environment.
- Hands‑on experience reading & interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T application in drawing & inspection.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools: vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges etc.
- Experience supervising floor / shop‑floor staff; ability to lead and get work done through others.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
