QC Inspector - Visual

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Inspector - Visual to join our team. This position will perform visual Inspection and final inspection on cast and forged parts to ensure full compliance with client specification, internal quality procedures, international codes (e.g., EN, ISO, ASME, ASTM).

Role Overview:

This role is critical for verifying the product Quality and releasing to customer or internal machine shop in coordination with production and Quality team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the visual inspection of casting and forging as per the internal quality procedure, customer specification and internation standards on daily basis.
• Critical Dimensional inspection as per the drawing, specification and internal procedures on regular production parts.
• Assisting the QC Engineer on preparation of ITP and Quality inspection standards.
• Inspection of Marking and traceability requirement as per Quality procedures and specifications.
• Maintain the Quality Control documents and records related to the final inspection and visual inspection.
• Carry out special testing such PMI, hardness survey as per the customer requirements.
• Report the deviation, rejection and Non conformity to the Quality Control Engineer or QC Manager.
• Verification of internal and external product related NCR effectiveness
• Maintain API 20A / 20B related inspection records as per the procedure.
• Final Inspection of casting and forgings as per the Quality Procedures and customer specifications,
• Assist in Quality control team on other inspection such as raw material inspection, NDE if required.
• Ensure EHSS and housekeeping compliance to the inspection area.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / Degree or equivalent discipline.
• ASNT Level II in visual inspection & ISO 9712 will be preferable.
• ASNT Level II in MT / PT is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the steel casting industry in Visual inspection and Quality control, Forging experience will be an additional benefit.
• Ability to understand material and inspection codes such as ASME, ASTM, ISO and EN standards.
• Working knowledge on NDT methods MT & PT.
• Dimensional inspection of casting and forging.
• Working knowledge on the portable testing equipment such as PMI / Hardness tester.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, inspection standards, and test procedures.
• Strong understanding of MSS SP 55 and scratta visual Inspection methods.
• Knowledge of defect types typical in casting and forging.
• Hands-on working experience in MS office
• Good communication and reporting abilities.
• Physically fit for fieldwork and capable of working in confined spaces or elevated positions, when required.
