QC Lab Technician

We have a great opportunity at our D-A Packaging, Henderson, CO facility for a full-time 1st Shift QC Lab Technician. The hours are 5:30am-2:00pm Monday-Friday.

This position is responsible for actively participating in our full quality control process. This includes but is not limited to the testing of oil and water-based products. Testing can include but is not limited to determining vicometrics, pH, reserve alkalinity, water content, and elemental concentrations. In addition to testing, QC Lab Technicians will be asked to complete pilot blends of various products if a correction is needed.

Essential Functions:

• Ensuring quality is upheld in production by verifying integrity of product and packaging
• Receiving, labeling and analyzing samples utilizing multiple lab instruments
• Sample disposal
• Stocking of completed samples
• Organizing and storing all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions
• Recording all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
• Maintaining equipment and assisting in ordering laboratory supplies
• Ensuring that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintaining a clean and orderly environment
• Other applicable duties as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years in a lab environment, OR Science degree with 1+ years in a lab environment
• Experience with elemental analysis, viscometrics, or pH measurement and adjustments is preferred
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple samples simultaneously
• Understanding of basic laboratory processes
• Flexibility with hours to best fit with the needs of production
• Willingness to adapt to changing needs of the Company
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
