CP&P is seeking an experienced
QC Manager to join the team at our
Winchester, VA precast plant. In this position, you'll lead the quality control program for the facility, ensuring all materials and finished goods meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role manages the QC team, oversees testing and inspections, and drives continuous improvement in quality and safety across the plant.
What You’ll Do:- Develop, implement, and manage the plant’s quality control program
- Supervise and coach QC Technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure all raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet company and customer specifications
- Maintain and enforce compliance with industry standards (ACI, ASTM, DOT), codes, and safety regulations
- Review and approve QC reports, inspection results, and documentation
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues
- Identify trends in quality data and implement corrective or preventive actions
- Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and testing areas to ensure proper function
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
What You Bring:
- 5+ years in quality control or materials testing in precast concrete or a related industry
- Experience supervising a team of technicians
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, precast production, and quality standards
- Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, and state/federal regulations
- Leadership skills, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address quality issues
- Clear written and verbal communication for reporting and collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in documentation, recordkeeping, and basic computer software
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Schedule & Environment:- Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week, with overtime or weekends as needed during peak periods
- Work is performed in a production environment, with exposure to ambient weather and air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting
- PPE required in all production areas
- May involve dusty or dirty conditions, respirator use, confined space entry, and work with chemicals
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS) maintained onsite by the plant manager
- Physical requirements may include standing, sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, and bending/stooping; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
