QC Officer (Contract) - Footwear

Lahore, Pakistan

We have a great career opportunity (under a contract) for an experienced quality auditor to work as part of our Quality team based in Lahore, Pakistan.


This is a contract position reporting to the Regional Quality Manager, paying in PKR. We will provide training on the DM’s quality and auditing protocols.


THE GIG


  • Ensure that the factories and suppliers operate in accordance with our agreed standards and procedures, during all production processes.
  • Ensure that all finial inspections follow Dr. Martens AQL procedure making sure there is always a gold seal and product specification.
  • Ensure that no product is shipped without a passed quality inspection.
  • Ensure that regular and accurate reports of the quality status is communicated to line manager.
  • Ensure that all relationships with factory staff are honest, consistent, and transparent
  • Ensure all established testing procedures are being adhered to before, during and after production
  • Conduct Commercialization meetings at T3 and T4 stage prior to bulk production start.

To be our QC Officer (Contract) you will possess these qualities:


  • Degree holder in a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of footwear QC/QA experience in factories and branded environment.
  • Technically competent shoemaker with extensive knowledge of footwear constructions, materials and all areas of footwear and component manufacture (advantage to have experience on welted construction).
  • Familiar with AQL standard and good knowledge of safety and regulation.
  • Knowledge of product development, bulk manufacture, quality management procedures.
  • Strong work ethic, detailed oriented and good time management.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Eligibility to work in Lahore, Pakistan.
  • Local language, plus good spoken and written English.
  • Have own transport to commute to and from our suppliers.
