QC QC Executive / Officer /Food Safety Specialist

Key Job Responsibilities- Spice Specialist (Expert in Spices)

  • Inspection & Sampling: Checking raw materials and finished products for physical defects, foreign matter, color, and aroma.
  • Testing: Performing laboratory analysis (e.g., moisture, particle size, volatile oil content) to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensuring adherence to food safety, HACCP, GMP, and SOPs.
  • Production Monitoring: Inspecting production lines to ensure quality is maintained during processing and packaging.

Requirements

  • Education: BSc/MSc in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related fields.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, sensory evaluation skills (taste/smell), and knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Experience: 0–7+ years experience in quality control within the food or spices industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Selection
  • Identifying high-quality spices from farms or suppliers.
  • Understanding regional varieties such as turmeric, cumin, cardamom, pepper, and chili.
  • Quality Control
  • Checking aroma, color, moisture level, and purity.
  • Ensuring spices meet food safety and export standards.
  • Blending & Product Development
  • Creating spice blends like garam masala, curry powder, and seasoning mixes.
  • Maintaining consistent taste and flavor.
  • Supplier & Market Knowledge
  • Working with farmers, wholesalers, and spice markets.
  • Monitoring price trends and availability.
  • Storage & Preservation
  • Proper packaging to protect aroma and freshness.
  • Knowledge of shelf life and contamination prevention.
