Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QC/QA Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards by performing comprehensive inspections and quality assurance checks throughout the production process. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and ISO 9001, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assessing the product prints / specifications and testing them with calipers, tape measures, durometers, to ensure compliance. Read and understand prints for all functions of the shop.
- Quality control checks: Check enclosures/ parts during the manufacturing process for correct counts and profile, measure bend deductions and weld seams. Ensure assembly is using the correct parts and notify QC Manager / Production Manager of problems. Identify and resolve training issues with any staff and let the employee know what is expected of them.
- Final inspections in Shipping. Ensure the enclosure / part is built to prints, all handles, latches, hinges function correctly, ensure finish is correct and free from flaws and color correct. Document the inspection process and ensure Bison stickers, UL NEMA rated, or customer stickers are attached.
- Be involved in setting objectives for quality assurance compliance for achieving the targets set for ISO. Participate in internal audits and
Annual / Recertification audits.
- Planning and implementing performance improvement and quality assurance programs.
- Guiding and training production staff about quality measures.
- Understanding, assessing, and performing the tests and procedures, and investigating product modifications.
- Observing staff performance, collecting significant information, and preparing reports.
- Determine quality related training requirements and provide training.
- Preparing administrative and technical systems reports.
- You report directly to the Quality Control Manager. Discuss options regarding equipment problems and recertification to your job supervisor. Discuss employee issues prior to action taken to ensure legal compliance.
- Manage work at an efficient pace to ensure enclosures/ products are built correctly and scheduled due dates are met. Meet or exceed production standards as identified by management. In other words, you set the standard, outperform, and make sure expectations are in writing and clear for each employee.
- Be able to operate equipment effectively and safely on the shop floor.
- Complete accurate Scrap and Rework forms / Non-Conformance Reports daily and maintain an annual log.
- Keep shop area clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any problems with employees or products to manager immediately.

Such duties may require working in other departments than which you normally work or were assigned upon hire. In addition, work schedule and/or hours may vary or differ than your normal assigned schedule and are contingent on production needs and at the discretion of management.
- Good attendance and punctuality are essential requirements to adequately perform this position.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of calibration and use of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, HACCP, CGMP, and FDA regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data accurately and identify deviations from specifications.
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions within a structured quality management system.
- Proficiency in data collection tools and software related to quality systems; ability to document findings clearly and comprehensively.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams to uphold product integrity.
