The QHSE Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring all Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental activities for ATI projects and facilities. This role ensures compliance with ATI's Quality Monitoring Plan, HSE Plan, and Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001). The position plays a critical role in maintaining quality, safety, and environmental performance through inspections, audits, documentation, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Qualification
Bachelor's in Engineering + NEBOSH/IOSH preferred

3-6 years in industrial HSE roles

Key Responsibilities
- QUALITY MANAGEMENT (PROJECTS & FACILITY)
- Quality Monitoring Plan Execution
Implement and manage ATI's Quality Monitoring Plan across all projects.
Ensure compliance with approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality standards, and engineering requirements. - Incoming Material Inspection
Perform inspections of all incoming materials (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, structural).
Verify material certificates, compliance to specifications, and QC documentation.
Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) log and ensure timely closure. - Fabrication & Site Activities Verification
Verify fabrication processes including welding, cutting, assembly, finishing, painting, skid assembly, and equipment mounting.
Conduct in-process and final inspections as per drawings and ITPs.
Monitor fabrication quality KPIs and ensure adherence to QHSE compliance standards. - Vendor & Subcontractor Inspection
Conduct vendor site inspections (factory visits, manufacturing stage inspections, pre-dispatch inspections).
Evaluate vendor compliance with ITPs, engineering drawings, and PO requirements. - FAT / SAT Coordination
Plan, witness, and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Maintain complete FAT/SAT records and ensure client approvals. - Technical Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain quality records including ITPs, test reports, calibration certificates, NCRs, MRB (Manufacturing Record Book), and Quality Dossiers.
Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications for quality compliance. - HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (HSE)
- HSE Plan Execution
Implement and monitor HSE Plans at ATI Facility and project sites.
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and enforce control measures.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory HSE requirements. - HSE Monitoring & Inspections
Conduct daily/weekly toolbox talks, inspections, and safety audits.
Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, lockout-tagout, working at height, confined space, and equipment handling procedures. - Incident Management
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Maintain HSE logs, incident reports, and performance KPIs. - MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (IMS: ISO 9001, 45001, 14001)
- Certification Management
Manage and maintain ATI's Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Ensure readiness for third-party surveillance and recertification audits. - Internal Audit & Compliance
Conduct internal QHSE audits and ensure closure of corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain IMS documentation, procedures, SOPs, risk registers, and process controls. - Training & Awareness
Conduct training sessions for employees on QHSE standards, policies, and procedures.
Promote QHSE culture through awareness campaigns and continuous improvement programs.
