QHSE Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, fabrication, oil & gas, engineering, or industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of ASME codes and standards, hands-on experience conducting and supporting ISO audits, and proven ability to implement and maintain Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ASME codes and standards for fabrication, welding, pressure vessels, piping, and related engineering activities.
- Review quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), procedures, and quality documentation.
- Monitor quality performance indicators and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal quality audits and support external certification audits.
- Investigate non-conformities and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and certification bodies on quality-related matters.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and company HSE standards.
- Lead safety inspections, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor environmental compliance and waste management practices.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal audits for:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
- ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System
- Coordinate third-party and customer audits.
- Prepare audit reports and track corrective action closure.
- Ensure continual improvement of management systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain quality and HSE records, reports, and documentation.
- Prepare management review reports and compliance reports.
- Support certification and surveillance audit activities.
- Ensure proper document control and record retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years of QHSE experience in engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification for ISO standards is preferred.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is an advantage.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3, and related standards.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Knowledge of welding inspection, fabrication quality control, and NDT processes.
- Strong understanding of corrective action, root cause analysis, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.

- ISO 14001 Internal/Lead Auditor
- ISO 45001 Internal/Lead Auditor
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely
- ASME-related quality or inspection certifications
- Welding Inspection certifications (e.g., CSWIP/CWI) are an advantage
