QHSE Officer

We are looking for a talented QHSE Officer.

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• Ability to identify hazards that exist within the facility, operational process
• Provided effective HSE induction for visitors, workers and clients to maximize health and safety knowledge in the team.
• Ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM code of safety practices) standards.
• Organizing periodical mock drills as stated in the HSE plan
• Organize safety committee meetings and prepare respective documents.
• Creating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs.
• To communicate with the client and to solve the issues if any.
• To ensure toolbox talk and discussion about the previous day's observations with the workers.
• Ensuring the day-to-day work permit documents and analysis of significant activities.
• Testing the effectiveness of site emergency response plans · Promoting safe practices on site. ·
• Conduct incident/accident/near-miss investigations and record them.
• Advise the procurement team in procuring PPE and equipment (scaffold, ladders, firefighting equipment and other accessories related to H&S) in terms of quality and quantity.
• Safe work permits system development, Training and Implementing.
• Check Fire Hydrant on a Weekly Basis and Fire Extinguisher on a Monthly basis.

Skills or Competencies:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as QHSE in related to food industries.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45K Lead auditor, or equivalent certifications are mandatory,
• Extensive understanding of UAE HSE laws, international standards, and industry best practices.
• Expertise in risk assessment, COSHH assessment and hazard identification techniques.
