Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Billing / Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer to manage sub-contractor and client billing for ongoing construction projects. The role involves accurate quantity take-offs, preparation and certification of bills, AutoCAD-based measurements, and month-on-month bill closure in line with contractual BOQs and site progress.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on exposure to site measurements, drawings, billing cycles, and coordination with site engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial documentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and process running account (RA) bills for sub-contractors and clients on a monthly basis
- Take accurate site measurements and reconcile them with drawings, BOQs, and specifications
- Perform quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and approved GFC drawings
- Verify sub-contractor bills against actual executed quantities and agreed rates
- Prepare client bills, including abstracts, rate analysis, and supporting measurement sheets
- Maintain measurement books (MBs), billing registers, and reconciliation statements
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and planning teams to validate work progress
- Handle variation items, extra items, deviation statements, and revised BOQs
- Assist in contractor final bills, reconciliation, and bill closure
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and timelines
- Track billing status, payments, deductions, retention, and certifications
- Support audits and client reviews by providing accurate billing documentation
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3–10 years of relevant experience in billing / QS roles in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for quantity extraction and drawing interpretation
- Sound understanding of BOQs, specifications, rate analysis, and measurement standards
- Hands-on experience with sub-contractor billing and client billing
- Good knowledge of IS codes, standard measurement practices, and billing procedures
- Proficiency in MS Excel for billing formats, abstracts, and reconciliation
- Ability to independently close monthly bills without supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
