QS Engineer

Position : QS Engineer

Location: Barsha Heights,Dubai, UAE

Experience: Minimum 2–3 Years

Requirements:

- Experience in preparing payment certificates, managing variations, and handling claims/disputes.

- Strong knowledge of FIDIC & POMI

- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (eg. Planswift)

Pre-Contract Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budget forecasts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Advise on procurement strategies and support tendering and subcontractor selection.
• Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and risk analysis.

Post-Contract Responsibilities:

• Manage all post-contract quantity surveying activities from contract award to final account.
• Prepare and issue interim payment certificates to contractors/subcontractors based on site progress and contract terms.
• Monitor actual project costs against budgets and forecasts; update regularly with accurate reporting.
• Evaluate, prepare, and negotiate variations (VOs) and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Assess and manage claims for additional costs, time extensions, and contract adjustments.
• Support in the preparation of monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements.
• Prepare final accounts and support project close-out procedures.
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure accurate measurement of works and verify work-in-place for payment certification.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and relevant regulations.
