Qualified Dental Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional dental practice. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who enjoys dental nursing and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about developing their knowledge and clinical skills in a supportive environment.

This is a full-time position working 43 hours per week. No weekends or evenings.

Key Responsibilities

Dental Nursing Duties:

• Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures
• Provide high-quality chairside support and ensure patient comfort at all times
• Prepare, clean, and maintain instruments, materials, and equipment
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, cross-infection control, and surgery hygiene
• Process dental X-rays and complete laboratory work as required
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of surgeries and clinical areas

Skills & Requirements

• Qualified Dental Nurse with a valid GDC registration (required)
• Minimum 1 year of dental nursing experience preferred
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate approach to patient care
• Confident using basic IT systems and dental software
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team across clinical and reception roles
