Qualified Dental Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists and ensure patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care. The position is suitable for a GDC registered nurses and experience will be valued.

Duties

• Assist clincians during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised
• Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records using IT and written systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
• Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing documentation
• Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
• Assist with stock management, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment

Skills

• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
• Proficiency in record keeping and appointment management
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
• Effective communication skills to explain procedures clearly and reassure anxious patients
• Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability at all times

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
