Qualified Electrician (Self Employed)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and competent electrician to join our growing team. You will carry out residential and/or commercial electrical works to a high professional standard. The successful candidate must be confident working independently, diagnosing faults accurately, completing installations safely, and producing clear and accurate job documentation.

Required Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on electrical experience after qualification

Proven experience in fault finding, maintenance, repairs, and installations

Experience working on occupied properties and communicating professionally with customers

Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Experience completing job sheets, testing documentation, and compliance paperwork accurately

Required Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Testing and Inspection qualification preferred

Full UK driving licence

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently

Carry out electrical installations and upgrades

Perform testing and inspection works where required

Ensure all works comply with current regulations and company standards

Complete accurate job sheets and supporting documentation

Maintain a professional appearance and attitude on-site

Communicate clearly with management regarding issues, delays, or additional works required

Candidate Requirements

Strong fault-finding ability

Good practical problem-solving skills

Ability to work cleanly, safely, and efficiently

Reliable, punctual, and organised

Honest about technical limitations and willing to escalate when necessary

We will cover the following costs for you to do our jobs, issuing you a fuel card & company credit card to use:

• Parking & Fuel
• Congestion Charges / Tolls
• Job App Software

You will cover:

• Van & van Insurance (If you would like to use our van it will be a monthly cost off your invoice)
• Van Maintenance
• Tax & MOT / Servicing
• Tools
• External Training
• Costs relating to job tech, uniform

Pay: £250.00 per day

Experience:

• Electrical: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) (required)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (required)
• Testing and Inspection qualification (preferred)
