Qualified Electrician - Solar Experience

The Role
We’re looking for a high-quality electrician to join our installation and technical team, working across domestic and commercial solar and battery projects.

Our work is primarily on high-value residential and commercial properties, where attention to detail and workmanship are critical. This is not a volume install role, we focus on clean, well-executed systems done properly.

The role will also involve the product development of our new domestic and commercial products. This will involve testing and refining new inverter and energy systems as we continue to develop our in house solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Installing and commissioning solar PV and battery storage systems (domestic and commercial)
• Carrying out site surveys, cable runs, DC/AC terminations, and full system commissioning
• Delivering clean, high-standard installs with strong attention to detail
• Working as part of the technical team to test and integrate new inverter and energy systems
• Diagnosing faults and optimising performance across existing systems
• Ensuring all work meets MCS, NAPIT, and BS7671 standards
• Liaising with project managers and clients to ensure a smooth, professional delivery
• Completing handover packs, certification, and system verification

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Proven experience with solar PV, battery storage, or hybrid inverter systems
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Experience working to high standards on site, with good attention to detail
• Familiar with MCS processes and installation standards
• Understanding of G98/G99 and DNO applications
• Comfortable working on roofs and leading installs where required
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience with Zephyr Tech, Sunsynk, Solis, SolaX or similar battery systems
• Exposure to BESS, EV charging, or smart energy systems
• Interest in product development, testing, and technical improvement
