Position Overview
We are hiring ESL instructors to teach international students in an ACCET-accredited Intensive English Program under a SEVP certification. Most students enter the U.S. with a school I-20 form to study.

Description
Instructors will prepare a lesson plan and facilitate courses using a curriculum developed by our school that allows time and room to prepare for the tailored instruction for the average class sizes of 20-25 adult international students worldwide.

Class Schedule: Monday - Thursday

The morning shift starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 01:30 PM

Instructor Job Responsibilities:

• Instruct assigned ESL classes using Active Learning strategies.
• Prepare daily lesson plans, keep accurate, current, and complete records, and comply with school policies and procedures.
• Follow the syllabus and objectives for each course assigned.
• Assess and document student progress and provide grade reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and personal information at all times.
• Assist in enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and policies.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development activities, award ceremonies, etc.
• Maintain cooperative and positive relations and positive communication with all administrators, staff, and students.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three months of full-time equivalent ESL or foreign language classroom teaching experience
• Or a bachelor’s degree, along with a certificate in teaching ESL.
• Sensitive to cultural differences
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Professional, enthusiastic, and patient
• High level of interest in teaching foreign students
• Able to demonstrate creative and communicative teaching methods
• Tutoring experience does not count.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Over two years of teaching experience in ESL, EFL, Linguistics, English, or other related fields
• TESOL/TEFL certificate that includes a teaching practicum component

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
