Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs.
- Deliver crisis management and crisis intervention services to de-escalate urgent situations effectively.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Engage in clinical research or data collection efforts to improve service delivery and support evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent credential in mental health counseling.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with disabilities across outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong skills in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical records management, and medical terminology.
- Experience providing telehealth services is preferred; ability to adapt to digital platforms for remote patient care.
- Knowledge of social work principles, case management strategies, and special education considerations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments effectively and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
