This position is ideal for a Qualified Professional seeking flexible, low-commitment supplemental income. The role is primarily administrative and oversight-based, with minimal in-person involvement required.

  • Hybrid role (primarily remote with minimal in-person oversight as needed)

Supported Living services focus on supervision, routine development, and daily life skill support within a structured and safe environment.

Community Living and Supports services focus on community engagement, transportation, social interaction, and real-world independence skill development.

Position Overview

The Qualified Professional (QP) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and ensuring that all services, documentation, and service plans meet Medicaid and Trillium requirements.

This role does not involve daily direct care. Instead, it focuses on reviewing, approving, and guiding service delivery from a compliance and clinical standpoint.

Core Responsibilities

The Qualified Professional will:

  • Review, revise (if necessary), and approve all client service plans
  • Ensure services align with client needs, goals, and Medicaid standards
  • Provide professional oversight of service delivery
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Provide guidance and feedback on service planning and documentation
  • Maintain awareness of client progress and service implementation
  • Support audit readiness and ensure documentation can withstand review

Workflow & Expected Involvement

Startup / New Client Intake

  • Review client information and initial assessments
  • Review and approve service plans before services begin

Ongoing Monthly Responsibilities

  • Review documentation and service notes
  • Provide feedback or required corrections
  • Maintain general oversight of services

As Needed

  • Address compliance-related concerns
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • Provide clarification or documentation corrections

Professional Expectations

The Qualified Professional must maintain:

  • Accuracy and integrity in all approvals
  • Timely communication when feedback or corrections are needed
  • Professional judgment when reviewing service plans and documentation
  • Ability to confidently support and defend documentation if reviewed by external entities

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Applicants must meet North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or behavioral health populations
  • Understanding of Medicaid service requirements and documentation standards
  • Ability to review and approve service plans and documentation professionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Qualified Professional (QP)
  • Familiarity with Trillium or NC Medicaid service structure
  • Experience reviewing service plans and clinical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time, contract-based position
  • Flexible schedule
  • Estimated 4–8 hours per month
  • Flat monthly compensation: $200
  • Additional time may be required during new client intake or compliance needs
