Quality Assurance Administrative Specialist

May Technology & Mfg., Inc., est. 1964 and located in Kansas City, MO has immediate openings for long-term self-starting professional individuals. We manufacture high quality precision machined parts, assemblies and tooling for the aerospace, defense, automotive, construction and other industries using the latest in advanced computerized mfg. tools & technology. We seek individuals that are highly skilled, quality minded, dependable, positive and motivated to join our growing team. Must be able to pass a drug screen, work weekends (rare)/overtime as the position requires.

The Quality Assurance Administrative Specialist will report to the Quality Manager on the company's Quality Management System (QMS) with a goal of zero defects.

Summary

Inspects products at various stages of production process; compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Essential duties, responsibilities and authorization for the following:

-Interprets engineering drawings and diagrams and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards;

-Sets up and creates First Article Inspection reports (AS9102) that comply with industry standards and customer requirements, including material, processing, and dimensional data;

-Perform Final Inspections of details, part mark, masking, and assembly

-Work closely with the shipping department to inspect and certify product base on schedule and demand.

-Set up and coordinate source inspection with multiple Customer (i.e. Lockheed, Northrup, Boeing, etc.)

-Monthly reporting, applying statistical quality management system procedures;

-Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability;

-Ensures products and documentation are inspected and maintained as required by the respective customer's requirements;

-Coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications;

-Follows the Quality Management System procedures and instructions

-Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment;

-Supports the Quality Management System to assure compliance to quality, industrial and government standards and regulations.

-Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS:

-Excellent computer skills

-Intermediate level Excel and Word;

-Able to work with minimal supervision and a quick learner.

Education and/or Experience

-One year certificate from college or technical school; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- (Preferred only) Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing.

- (Preferred only) Source Inspection Experience

- (Preferred only) First Article Inspection
