Position Summary
The QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all transcripts meet our accuracy, formatting, and compliance standards before delivery to clients. This role finalizes transcripts in YesLaw, coordinates with the Orders Team to confirm job details, and manages the delivery process. The QA Specialist plays a critical part in the quality control process, ensuring transcripts are delivered error-free and in compliance with agency and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finalize transcripts in YesLaw, ensuring proper formatting, headers, footers, and certifications.
  • Upload finalized transcripts and job information into RB for appeals and other case types.
  • Deliver finalized transcripts to clients promptly and confirm receipt.
  • Research and verify transcript details using court documents, notes, and word lists.
  • Review transcripts for accuracy, formatting, and compliance with Laws Reporting standards.
  • Return transcripts for revision when necessary and verify corrections are made.
  • Perform second-pass checks on multi-volume and complex transcripts.
  • Communicate daily with internal teams regarding job readiness, missing details, or urgent assignments.
  • Assist with the reassembly of multi-volume appeal transcripts.
  • Maintain QA tracking systems and spreadsheets for KPIs and reporting.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to proofreaders and transcriptionists, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Assign proofreading assignments to proofreaders.
  • Ocassional proofreading and/or transcription.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in transcript QA, legal operations, or court reporting preferred.
  • Familiarity with YesLaw, RB, and transcript formatting standards preferred.
  • Strong grammar, punctuation, and research skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
