Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and compliance of clinical and administrative operations. This role ensures that the organization adheres to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies while supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

The coordinator works closely with clinical staff, management, and compliance teams to review documentation, conduct audits, track performance metrics, and implement process improvements that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular audits of patient records and clinical documentation.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory standards (including hospice regulations).

Monitor quality improvement programs and performance indicators.

Assist with regulatory surveys, inspections, and accreditation reviews.

Maintain quality assurance reports and compliance documentation.

Identify operational gaps and recommend corrective actions.

Train staff on quality standards, policies, and compliance procedures.

Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve patient care outcomes.
 Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred.

  • 2–5 years of experience in healthcare quality assurance, compliance, or clinical operations.

  • Knowledge of hospice or home health regulations is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and documentation review skills.

  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
