Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Description

The Project Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of quality assurance and quality control activities across project execution. This role ensures that quality systems, processes, and standards are effectively implemented and maintained throughout all phases of a project. The position works closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive quality performance, ensure compliance with requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Project Quality Manager also acts as a key advisor to project leadership, providing guidance on quality-related matters, managing risks, and ensuring that quality objectives are achieved efficiently and consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project quality plans, procedures, and surveillance programs
  • Promote quality awareness and ensure adherence to quality standards across all project activities
  • Provide quality input into project planning, execution strategies, and organizational structures
  • Coordinate and interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and other project disciplines
  • Oversee contractor and supplier quality performance, ensuring compliance with established requirements
  • Review and validate quality-related deliverables including plans, procedures, inspection and test plans, and documentation
  • Lead and participate in audits of contractors, suppliers, and internal teams; track findings through resolution
  • Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements
  • Manage the resolution of quality issues, including non-conformances and deviations
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to quality personnel and coordinators
  • Ensure appropriate training and onboarding for quality team members and project staff
  • Maintain effective communication between quality teams and project stakeholders
  • Support project handover activities by ensuring quality requirements are met and documented
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of quality tools and processes

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management within engineering, procurement, and construction environments
  • Experience overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities on complex projects
  • Proven ability to manage contractor and supplier quality performance
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection processes, and audit practices
  • Experience coordinating quality surveillance and inspection activities
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required

Job Details

Pay: $106/ per hr

Location: Midland, TX

Schedule: 6 days on / 1 days off
