Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Title: QA/QC Inspector – Joinery, Carpentry & Fit-Out

Location: Qatar

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control across carpentry, joinery, and fit-out manufacturing activities. The role will ensure that materials, workmanship, and finished products meet approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, and company quality standards.

This position is mainly production-based with regular coordination across factory, project, and site teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing and installation process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures, quality plans, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for joinery and fit-out works
• Support the implementation of a Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001 or company standards
• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client requirements to identify quality requirements and risks
• Inspect incoming materials such as timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes, adhesives, and accessories
• Verify materials against approved submittals, samples, and technical data sheets
• Carry out in-process inspections during cutting, machining, assembly, veneering, laminating, finishing, polishing, and mock-ups
• Inspect final products for compliance with approved shop drawings, samples, tolerances, and finish quality
• Monitor workmanship for factory-made and site-installed joinery and fit-out items
• Record non-conformities, raise NCRs when needed, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Production Managers, Factory Supervisors, Site Engineers, consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors on quality matters
• Support factory acceptance tests, site inspections, rectification works, and snag clearance
• Maintain inspection records, approvals, test results, NCRs, corrective actions, and traceability documents
• Prepare inspection requests, quality reports, dashboards, and management summaries
• Help ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ISO, ASTM, BS, EN, and local authority requirements where applicable
• Support continuous improvement by analyzing recurring defects, identifying root causes, and contributing to training and lessons learned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Interior Design, Architecture, or Engineering
• 7–10 years of QA/QC experience in carpentry, joinery, or fit-out manufacturing
• Proven experience in both factory and site quality control for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects
• Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery materials, finishes, and fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, details, specifications, and BOQs
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality auditing principles
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good documentation, reporting, and coordination skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic quality tools or software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site installation inspections
• Exposure to client, consultant, and third-party audit processes
• Familiarity with fire rating, VOC, sustainability, and other material compliance requirements
• Experience supporting handover dossiers, warranties, and quality documentation
• Background in bespoke joinery, carpentry, or interior fit-out manufacturing

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR9,000.00 per month
