Quality Assurance Inspector II, CMM/Arm Metrology

Your mission: turn drawings into flight-ready reality

At Composite Resources (Re:Build CR) in Rock Hill, SC, we build composite parts and tooling that keep aerospace and defense programs moving forward. As a Level II QA Inspector, you’ll translate engineering intent into verified performance—using advanced metrology to validate every critical feature and finish.

How you’ll contribute

Imagine receiving a complex print in the morning with tight GD&T across multiple features. You plan the inspection, set up the articulated arm CMM, and take precise measurements. After a tensile/compression test confirms material performance, you log detailed results, identify a nonconformance, and route it to MRB. By close of day, you’ve created a complete first article and PPAP package and coached operators on in-process checks to prevent future issues.

Core responsibilities

  • Execute dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, CMM, articulated arm CMM, and attribute gages
  • Perform routine tensile/compression testing and capture traceable results
  • Document inspection outcomes and maintain accurate records
  • Write nonconformances and support MRB actions
  • Prepare first article and PPAP documentation
  • Partner with production to share inspection feedback
  • Conduct in-process inspections and help train production teams

What you’ll bring

  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Hands-on experience with CMMs and articulated arm systems
  • Background in composites manufacturing preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector preferred
  • Formal training on CMM or articulated arm preferred
  • Associate degree, or high school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience

Shifts: Openings on 1st and 2nd shift.
