Summary:
The Quality Assurance Intern, Ingredients will be responsible for the implementation of Raw Material inbound releases. They will review and approve incoming COA’s for compliance with applicable monograph standards. They will support Quality functions, environmental testing, and be responsible for the creation and management of databases for tracking and trending purposes.
Duties would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Reviews COA against applicable monograph, approved specification and approved COA template as determined by Regulatory/Quality.
- Reviews inbound POs in FBSS, ensures accuracy of receipts.
- Assists in sample lab when needed.
- Assist in quality process with 3rd party tollers.
- Review lab results, log information, create COAs.
- Assist in risk assessment of raw materials.
- Environmental Monitoring as needed.
- Assist in GMP Audits.
Expected outcome of internship:
- Establish Raw Material inbound releases in Labware/LIMS system.
- Create SOP on Raw Material inbound releases.
- Familiarity with inbound and product documentation.

- Currently a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or a related field.
- Willingness to learn food safety procedures.
- Must be a strong professional who can effectively communicate, both written and verbal
- Have the ability to work successfully with coworkers and independently.
- Be able to multitask as needed.
- Be an active and creative problem solver.
- Have the ability to adapt to a change in direction and priority in a sometimes-fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
